Pay Day Loan 6-7 years old

I took out a payday loan close to 7 years ago. It appeared on my credit in May. I have not received a Dunning letter but I believe Midland/MCM is calling me. There's a code listed on my credit report - 654YC15143. I've never seen anything like this before. What does it mean? I Googled the 858 number and it's somewhere in CA.They started calling a few weeks ago.   I live in MD and payday loans were deemed illegal some years back. I acquired the loan in VA although I was a MD resident at the time. How should I handle this? The amount is $711. I can pay it.

What is the DOFD?

Do you plan to app for new credit prior to this collection becoming excluded?

If so, you can make a PFD offer and attempt to get it deleted now.

Yeah, some of mine show up that way - seems like the furnishers ID code does not always get decoded when your report is pulled. I seem to see it primarily with EQ.

I can't remember the exact DOFD. How do I determine that? This is the first time this debt has appeared on my credit. I can't find the paperwork from that far back. That was at least 6-7 years ago.

Reported DoFD will be on your full EQ report from annualcreditreport.com, or if you order a hard copy report directly from EQ.
