Payday loan illegally took money from another account

Back in 2011 I fell on hard times and took out a payday loan. I wasnt able to pay it back and they took money from my mother in law's account. which she has no relevance to this account at all. how they found her account number i dont know. Now they have placed it on my credit report with a collection agency. Do I have any recourse against this?

Your mother in law would have a big time recourse with this.  Was there a judgement involved?

No judgement involved at all.

Yeah man! Take em to the cleaners. Payday loan places suck. I'm glad they're there to help people out but the fact that they get to skirt interest rate laws is really crooked.
