I had two 30 day lates on my Paypal Smart Connect Account dating back to last year. I've had the account since around 2011. I called in yesterday, and explained that I knew I had screwed up, and that I had no excuse. That for 6 years I had been a faithful customer, but one who had messed up twice. The lady I spoke with could not have been more helpful, she promised that she would have the 30 day lates removed from my credit reports, and even refunded me the late fees! She explained that I was in luck because yesterday was the day they reported to the credit bureaus. I just looked, and both 30 day lates are gone from my account and the late fees had been credited back!
Not only that, but the whole call only took about 20 minutes.
