I am new to the forums and have searched for information regarding my situation. I let a few of my cards get behind and just couldn't get out of the trench of late fees, etc. I spoke with the collection company and we agreed to a pay in full amount. It was my understanding that they would remove the bad information from my report since there was many years of positive history but about 3-4 months of payments not being on time. I have since learned they did not do that. I have sent a letter of my own and they refuse to remove the bad information. Is there anything I can write or do now that the collection has been paid?
