I currently have a JCPenney card that has 4 30 day lates on it.
I sent a GW to JCPenney to have these lates removed since this is my oldest account, etc. Today I got a phone call from them, and this is the message that they left:
"Hello this is an important message from JCPenney credit services. We are calling to inform you that we have received your inquiry from August 12, 2011. We will have your request resolved in approximately 14 business days. Thank you for your inquiry."
Has anyone else received a message like this? I'm anxiously awaiting to see if they will remove my lates.

I was reading your post on JC Penney's and the goodwill letter you sent; you stated they gave you a phone call with a message that your inquiry would be resolved within 14 days. I am very curious to know what the final outcome was. Was it sucessful. I currently have a 30 day late after having this account for over 5 years without ever being late..so I wanted to send them a GW but wanted to know if anyone else had any success. Please let me know.
GEMB called with the same automated message after I emailed them about a 30 day late on my Lowes card. The next day it was off my EQ and EX the following day it was off my TU.

Would you happen to have a copy of what you wrote to GEMB/JC Penney or GEMB/Lowes?? and also the address in which would be best to submit a goodwill letter to JC Penney's. I have never been late so hoping they will extend the same gratitude to me as well. Good Luck in your credit endeavors!
