I have a 3 student loan with ACS server; showing late marks for Jan 2103, June 2013, JUly 2013 and August 2013.
College loan Corps had my student loans first, but transfer to ACS in 2008.
Here is My FICO problem:
1. When I pulled my FICO report. Three of College loan Corps accounts are still open with a balance. These accounts should be closed, since these accounts were transfer to ACS .
2. Since College loan corps are still showing open. I am getting ding twice for late marks.
3. The same late marks shown on ACS is SHowing for College loan Corps, which has impacted my credit score!
What can be done? How do I handle this?
Open or closed you will be dinged for the lates on both accounts.
But it should be showing closed since it was transferred. Contact them and let them know they need to report it as closed.
But the late marks that are showing are from 2013.
College loan Corps was closed in 2008! So I should not have late marks on College loan corps accounts for 2013?
In that case, if the loan was transferred in 2008 there shouldn't be lates after 2008 or a balance.
I misread the post, sorry.
Contact College Loan Corps and let them know what is going on. I would call them first and if that gets you no where, send a direct dispute (in my signature).
It is just a bit odd that both of them have the exact same lates. Those lates didn't get there on their own.
Someone put them there!
I contacted ACS in sent there supervisor over a copy of my FICO report on FRiday. He said that he would seen them over to their credit department for review. I think as a good will for the error, they should remove all my late marks.
I should contact CLC for them to review as well; ACS are jerks!
Before 2013, I never had any late marks on my loans
The current creditor cannot mark lates on another creditors file.
That is what I thought as well.
WE will see how ACS handle this next week!
Is there a law writing some where? I would like to send an email to the CEO and give them an ear full of violations.
