SM - they are tough I hear. You can try GWs. Maybe you can make an argument that 7/10 should be marked OK vs. CO'd if you know they received the check in June. That'll buy you a month. But GWs are the only way to go.

Unknown Med CA - Two choices: 1) follow the HIPAA process (google HIPAA Process) or 2) send a DV. If they verify and you agree, then send a PFD. Again SOL may come into play. Don't worry about SOL if you have the $$$ to PIF if you had to.

HSBC/BB #2 - If you didn't pay it, then settle things with the CA first. Send a GW asking for a deletion once you do and mention you paid it.

First Merchants - Double check the older history via your full reports. If no lates, then keep paying as scheduled.

SM#2 (1435) - Ahhhh....the challenges of a CMS...they mixed up the accounts and alligned up TLs that don't belong together. If not late, then continue to pay as agreed.

SM#3 (2321) - It says that you were late. If true, it's a major derog. Try sending GW letters if current and paying on time for a while now.

FMB (4472) - Do nothing if your full reports are showing no lates.

FMB (11,585) - Keep an eye on your AAoA. I personally wouldn't send a GW if you PIF inside the 2-yr loan period and the lates occurred then.

FMB (4472 #2) - They really like you...do nothing.

FMB (16,085) - If OK, do nothing.

First United - If OK, do nothing.

First Merchants:  This was reported 30 in April, 2006.

According to FSC.com, my Oldest account is 7.7 years - Average Age of Accounts is 5.2 years

HSBC/BB: I only had one account with this, some reason it just shows up twice, once on EX and TU, then later in the report on EQ.

I did my free annual report in October.  I dont know where to get the real deal?  I go straight to equifax and they are selling so many products now it's quite confusing.  They do show one report with score for all three bureaus for $40.  Is this going to be the real thing or what I'm buying for $24 from experian already?    The report from FCS.com/Experian shows scores for all three and a 24/mo snapshot of payment history (the last 24 months of the account when it was open)

LNVN: This was the CA for the Best Buy account.  The account I co-signed for.  I settled on it.  It was down to $200 or 300 when i found out he didnt pay it off.  It eventually racked up interest and late fees to over $1100!!! Smiley Sad  I settled for around $700 lump payment.

Sallie Mae:  I will make a call on this one.  It was a long rough process with them that included a complaint with the FTC about them reporting to the bureaus.  I have a specialist in Sallie Mae that can and will help me with this, finally!

Unknown Med:  Who do I even send the DV to?  Do I do this through the 3 bureaus?  Should I mess with this since it should fall off next year?  Is it hurting me now?

HSBC/BB #2:  This is the same account as before.  Just showed up at different locations on the report (further down for EQ).  It was settled through LVNV.

First Merchants:  It shows my last 24 months of payments.  All is OK and on time.

SM#2:  This and the SM#3 account are joined.  One payment for both.  It IS true I was late.  Often they would come ouf of forberance and I wouldnt know it whoops.

SM#3: Read above ^

Here is a snapshot:

GOAL: 680+
Goal exceeded! - EQ - 712 TU - 701
2/2015 - 750+ across the board!

The judgement was a long story.  I cant remember the guys name but he has a BAD rep.  Many people have filed complaints with his crooked practices, but, he gets the job done apparently.  I was given an order to appear with the wrong date, the date on it was a Sunday.  I tried contacting his office and never got a response in time.  So I lost the judgement and wages were garnished, paying the full amount.  I think this was in 2006 or so.

Why do CAs pull credit?  I dont really see a need for them to do so other than to make a black mark on credit?  I however, have paid or settles all outstanding debts minus the $405 amount from 2004 and the Receivable management, oh and the one that has no name?  I believe the RCVMGMNT (sp? I cant see it lol) is an old medical bill.  I can pay that now.  I have the funds to do so, but i didnt want to wake up the old debts that havent been reporting montly since 2004.  I was under the impression paying them would hurt my credit after waking them up.

Oh and thank you so much for taking the time to review this.  I have more questions but i will reply to your posts individually first like you are mine.

In the future, never trust what a CA or attorney sends you. Always contact the court to confirm the date. Also, you must be served via the court. Most people never show up to court, but you probably would have gotten it dismissed if they never served you (via the sheriff or process server or others as set by law). IMO, it is too late now. But still worth the shot to contact the plaintiff's attorney to negotiate a delete.

CAs pull your credit to look at your reports to see if you have the ability to pay a debt. They can do a hard or soft pull. They are looking to see if you can or are paying your loans. Their logic is that if you can pay a loan, you can pay them too.

Only pay a CA via a PFD (unless you are about to be sued). Paying them could hurt your score if they didn't update in a while. A PFD will get it deleted and you won't have to worry about it being updated. Always DV a CA first, even if you know you owed the debt.

Cash pro is a CA.  Being that the account is from 2004, should I wake up this account?  My newbie research has told me to let old debts lie and fall off, not to wake them since they are not really affecting  credit?  My SOL is 7 years.  So it should fall off next year.

Recvmgment - no clue.  All I know is that it is a medical bill that my insurance must have not paid?  I knew nothing of this account until I saw it on my credit report.

Captial one - Long story short, they were collecting and called my gf(at the time)'s parents and told them all about my account, what i owed, etc etc.  They broke the law by releasing information to someone not even related to me.  I'm still not sure how they even got the number?!?!  But I threatened to sue them and they settled the account and agreed to delete it with a settlement payment that I paid (This was a manager speaking to me in order to not proceed with legal action).  However, they never sent me the paper confirming our agreement nor did they  delete it.  I never argued it since it was/is my word against theirs, unfortunately?

A CA (or baddie OC) most definitely can impact your FICO score for the full reporting 7 yrs. Many in here have seen 50+ point gains when a 7 year old baddie falls off. You can also be declined for new credit with 7-y.o debts, or at least from personal experience anyway.

Always get an offer for deletion in writing. Memories tend to fade. People forget. Remember, their word is never their bond. They will say and do anything to get paid.

FM - I'd let it be.

CMSs tend to jumble up reporting. So as long as there aren't more than 3 entries, one on each CRA, then it is OK.

Per ACR, if you used your free report, then go directly to each website to pull a new report, if you so choose. It does get confusing.

EQ - http://www.equifax.com/credit-report-history/

EX - http://www.experian.com/disputes/index.html  (in the first box on the left, click "order an updated copy of your credit report"

TU - Click here. I think you can also go via ACR to get a report too, and might be prompted to pay if less than 1 yr since report.

If you were denied for credit in the past 60 days, then you can get that report copy for free.

Ignore the scores and advice from FCS...totally unrealted to FICO scores. Those scores are FAKOs called a PLUS score and factor your report a lot differently from FICO.
