Please help!

Hello All,

I sent Verizon VA a PFD letter for the total amount of an account that was charged off last year.  It was only $169. I rcvd a letter stating that not enough info was provided about the account but it now appears on my CR as account in dispute. It has dropped my credit score from 616 to 582. I am trying to get all scores above 620 to buy a house in April of next year. What should I do?

Starting Score: EQ-543
Current Score: EQ-622, TU- 619, EX? 10/13/13 EX Lender pull 637
Goal Score: 650

Re: Please help!

Was the account sent to CA?

Have you tried calling Verizon up and seeing if you can take care of this with them.

Good Luck

Re: Please help!

They apparently treated your letter to them as a dispute under FCRA 623(a)(8) rather than a simple request for a PFD agreement with them.

Did you mention the word "dispute" in your letter?  Lack of sufficient information probably refers to your lack of providing the basis for considering a dispute.

Since you apparent were not disputing, I think you have a simple lack of meeting of the minds.
