Can anybody try to figure out why my credit score is only a 540 (got score from the Transunion quarterly monitoring on here)...My Equifax scorewatch score is 603. I just don't know what I can do to fix my credit at this point. Any collection/charge off is set to fall off this year (so I would assume it's not making a huge impact), and all the lates through the credit union in 2007 & 2008 I can't touch because they are not nice, and are not willing to budge at all, even though every bank account and loan have been and are through them. Also, on Transunions explanation, it tells me that my revolving credit is high and that I have $501 in revolving, when in reality i only have $24- but they have included the old sprint bill in my revolving ratio. What can I do? Anyone have ideas?

Re: Please see CR- ADVICE

I am new here, but my guess would be on the Sprint thing dispute it to get the account to closed status, open collections seem to keep my score down. Also it should then not count as revolving debt. The other option I see would be to DV them, the CA most likely doesnt have records of the date of default and there fore may have to remove it

Again just my 2cents

Re: Please see CR- ADVICE

Thanks for your advice...you've got me thinking now!

After reading a couple of older posts about the same type of thing, I am wondering if anyone knows this answer:  If the CA is reporting as open, and under revolving credit, is this legal, or is this only somthing the OC is aloud to do? Because this account looks new to someone just looking at it, and it is actually from 2005.
