Portfolio Recovery Associates

Hello...I have a paid for less than full balance on all 3 CRAs from PRA. The OC is JcPenney and I am wondering if anyone has ever tried paying in full the remainder in return for a PFD? I have already requested a DV and that came back fairly quickly. I would like this off my report in order to purchase a house in April. I'm currently sitting at 646 (Ex) 629 (Trans) and 602 (Exp) all FICO and would hope this deletion would help improve my scores. Thanks for any help or advice, I'm a first time poster long time visitor!

My suggestion would be to contact Portfolio and ask for a PFD. Send letters, email, even call but get it in writing from them before you pay. They can email it to you if time is a problem. If the first person says no then keep trying. It only takes one person to say yes for it to be removed.
