Portfolio Recovery going away, what about the OC

Success - I received notification that Portfolio will be deleted because they were unable to obtain supporting documents from HSBC. With that said, does that open up anything with HSBC? I sent a GW letter a few months ago and heard nothing back, but now that I know that there may not be any supporting documentation, shouldn't it be easier to delete? It, of course, was verified to the big 3, but then again, so was Portfolio.

Getting the CA to delete will not remove the OC account. You will need to deal with them separately.

Thanks guiness56. That part makes sense, but with the lack of documentation, should I go after them on that, especially since it was a charge off? I am a bit concerned that portfolio just didn't really search, and that suddenly the OC does have the documentation and this comes back to bite me again.
