Possible ?

Is it possible to go from a 400(high) credit score to a 640 in a little over a year and a half?

Re: Possible ?

i was in the 400s and got into the 500s after having a secured CC for almost a year. got over 600 by cleaning up my credit report. i'm at about the year and a half mark.

but i have 12 years of good credit history with the exception of a super bad spell in 2008 and 2009; everyone will be different depending on what else they have going on.

getting a secured card seems to help a lot so i would start there...

Anything is possible....I was in the 400s(2 1/2) months ago. Now I am in low 600s and moving on up!

So, its surely is possible. I plan to be about 660 by the end of the year if all goes wellSmiley Wink

Re: Possible ?

I hope I do not discourage....FIGHT THE FIGHT!!!  If nothing else, I have CREDIT!  The score may not be what I want, but I have the accounts.  It's better than some right?  The way I see it (I'm reminding myself in this depressed fog) the scores will one day go UP!!  If I keep not being late, eventually the payment history has to make an impact.

Re: Possible ?

Yes, you can raise your score, but you will need time and patience. When I finally decided to work on my scores, I was in the low 400's. After getting 2 secured cards and cleaning up my reports, my scores are 612 and 583. Stay the course and above all, you can find help and support out here on the forum....I sure did
