Posting my Journey

Just want a place that I can document my journey back to having excellent credit. I will start with credit I have established and then document all my negative credit. God I'm embarrased when I look at my credit....Was in a relationship all credit was in my name right down to his motorcycle and when my partner left my whole world fell apart. I feel overwhelmed by this whole process.

Imediate goals.

1. Pay down my balances to improve my utilization which I hope will bring my score up

2. Refinance my current car loan with ELFCU in January. They have a program called we want. Basicly after making 12 ontime payments on your current car loan they will refi no matter what your fico score is. They only use your FICO to determine your new APR.

Your very welcome. I know how it feels, Time heals most everything so remember come 2015 when that FICO number jumps up there, know that you made it. 2015 is not that far away.

Re: Posting my Journey

I had 2 car loans through Santander, bought out CitiAuto.  Refinanced with local bank after I got my scores up a bit, was definitely a win.  Good Luck to yours!

Re: Posting my Journey

Just a piece of advice.  I had APEX on my CR too, after paid, I sent them a GW and they took it off.  Worth a try, could move that time frame up quite a bit.

Re: Posting my Journey

Awsome info shotgun....I currently have a dispute regarding the 3 accounts listed with Apex I belive one is a dup account all 3 are medical collections.  I have tried to contact the origianl creditor to figure out when the date of service was so I can call my insurance company and make sure they filed a claim...But after I get it worked out I will send a GW or maybe try a PFD.
