Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

Hi all,  after some MAJOR setbacks I find myself still working to improve my scores and work my way out of debt.

I've received a pre-approval notice from Credit One.  I know some ppl are not fans of this company, but I feel I need to start adding more credit lines.  Presently, I have a Macy's card $100 cl (used to be $750 cl a few yrs back), Capital One $750 cl (used to be Household bank), Kohl's $300 cl, and just got approved for Victorias Secret $350 cl.  Scores are: TU 592, Equifax 569, Experian 619.  Should I accept this card to rebuild credit?  If not this card, are there other cards I might have a good chance at getting approved for?

Thanks!

I'm not sure why you would add another credit card to your profile at this time.

I think that you should now work on what's holding your score at the scores that they are at. Do you have any baddies? Too many inquires?

I don't think you need to accept this card, but allow the ones you have to garden/grow.

I usually only recommend Credit One if no one else will give you credit.    I also agree that your efforts are better spent focusing on working on your baddies.   What baddies do you have?

Re: Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

You should accept it only if you want to pay outrageous fees and interest.

You have enough cards to rebuild.

I started with one... A CapOne and my scores were 630s at this time last year.

Re: Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

Do NOT get this card - CreditOne is the same company as LVNV (aka Sherman LLC) and they will bleed you over and over on fees and interest rates - you have cards, give them time to mature and your scores will improve which will open more doors (cards).

I would avoid CreditOne and First Premier cards if I was homeless and living on the street !

Re: Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

Thanks so much for all the advice!  I will skip this card, and just keep working on my gardening :-)  I've been working on PFD's one by one, and GW letters for everything else.  So I will keep working my way through my list.  Thanks again!

Re: Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

I would pass as you have some good lines going, now its time to let them get older and grow.  Your headed the right direction, adding credit one wil set you back.

Re: Pre-approved for CreditOne Platinum....should I accept?

As someone who is still currently a credit one customer I'd advise you against it. I'm closing mine because it provides me nothing. There is no grace period, credit limit increases can cost you money, pretty much anything that a normal card offers for free they will charge you for. I agree with everyone focus on gardening your current cards. If you're absolutely not going to listen and app for a card anyway, try barclays for aspiring prime instead of credit one.
