I have roughly 30 letters to send out. 6 of them are PFD and the rest are all DV's. When looking at the USPS website certified mail starts at $10. ??? am I looking at the wrong thing? I was thinking it would be more like $2 each or something- not 10.
I just went to the Post office and this is what I paid
CMR - 2.85 certified fee + .44 for the stamp = 3.29 per letter
RR - total $5.85 per letter
should be about the same for where you live. Good ol' post office works like a charm

You don't need to send these CMRRR. That will save a few dollars.

When I sent out my DV letter last month, it was just under $6, and I nearly fainted! So, it is expensive, but shouldn't be $10.
It's around $6, but you don't need to send the PFD letters CMRRR. It is best to send the DV letters that way, though.
