Hi, I have 4 collection accounts with this company 1 ($350), 2 ($450), 3 ($67) and another one less than a hundred. Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I would like to do a PFD and I think they are past due medical so I was going to pay them with my health savings account.
You are the first person I ever met who is in the Professional Credit Service Hell that I am in! They have done nothing but ruin my credit. I have filed BBB complaints, begged, pleaded threatened, yelled, bitched, you name it, I did it!! They continue to report 4 paid medical account collections that are NOT MINE and they refuse to do anything about it. They say it is per state statute that they can do this, though Federal Laws should override. I am at the point of just giving up. I've done HIPAA (TU deleted, the others didn't). GGGGRRRRRRRRR - then there are the 8 that ARE MINE that I have to deal with, too.
BUT, good luck to you and PLEASE let me know your results. I stupidly paid in full all of my medical collections w/ them and THEN found myfico forum 2 days later. It was over 2800 bucks in 12 difft. medical collections (all mine except the 4). They put a judgment on my credit, too, for these, when I missed ONE PAYMENT on my payment plan. (Was able to get that vacated by GW'ing the courts).
PS: Unless those resulted in 2012 dates of service, you can't use your HSA to pay them -- You're talking about a flex spending account??
Lundungurl check your PM.
No, it's not a flexable spending account. A health savings account I put money into every month to use for medical, prescription, vision, etc. It goes with the high deductable health plan at my job. The good thing about the health savings account is it's MY money only and I'm not paying premiums to an insurance company.
@Booner . WOW, i'm scared to contact them now
Don't be scared, do it! Maybe you'll have the opposite luck than I did.........I was just answering the question of your post - anyone's experience. I wasn't trying to dissuade you.
Everyone's experiences and results are different.
EDITED TO ADD: PCS did not destroy my credit, I did. I know this and am 100% accountable. It just sucks that I always read about success with GW's and I have yet to get a GW deletion for a collection acct.
Ok, I'll send a PFD letter to them and pay it off and if they don't delete, Bug them with some GW letters.
Thanks everyone! you've always got good info, your like my second family... Not in a creeper way though
Are you familiar with the HIPAA process for addressing the reporting of medical debt?
