About a month ago, I was still upset and offended by the kinds of credit offers I was getting in the mail -- cards with annual fees and loans with 900% APRs. I was thinking, "What the heck? I've come so far and yet this is where the creditors still think I am??" Today, I got two card offers in the mail -- no annual fee, 0% interest for a year, reasonable rate thereafter. They said I met pre-screening criteria based on my credit profile. I recently made the strong leap from low 600s, to solid 650's. Not ready to apply for new cards just yet, but I am so relieved to see some decent offers starting to come through. I'm making progress!!!
Progress indeed WTG
Good work there
WOOO-HOOO!! Congratulations!! As a fellow "I started at 490, wah-wah-WAAAAAH"-er, thrilled to hear that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
Yes, hapagrrl, I was also recently able to refi my auto loan at half the rate it was, when a year and a half ago I couldn't get a credit union auto loan even with a co-signer. I still have a long way yet to go, but the improvement really is starting to get more tangible. I see you are making the same kind of improvements. We are moving on up! Woo hoo!
Congrats!
