Hello all
I am new to the forum and am trying to repair my credit.
My scores:
Equifax 720 Experian 646 Transunion 625
I had opened a BOA secured CC with $1000 deposit in 8/2010
9/5/12 they closed the card and marked it as stolen and opened a new account for me. I never reported it stolen and when I asked them about this they said something happened internally and they had to close account. Will this have a negative impact on my score since they are showing 2 accounts on my report?
Secondly I have been trying to improve my score with little success for the last 3 years:
3 Bureau Credit Report | December 10, 2012 | 720 | 646 | 625 |
3 Bureau Credit Report | October 1, 2012 | 682 | 663 | 625 |
3 Bureau Credit Report | July 1, 2012 | 712 | 630 | 650 |
3 Bureau Credit Report | April 1, 2012 | 707 | 634 | 650 |
3 Bureau Credit Report | January 26, 2012 | 637 | 620 | 576 |
3 Bureau Credit Report | January 1, 2012 | 637 | 620 | 576 |
Prior to that between 580-640
I got approved for mortgage from local bank in amount of $100,000 in July 2012 @ $550 a month
Capital one secured card with $600 limit 5/2011
Capital one unsecured card with $600 limit 7/2012
BOA secured card $1000 limit 08/2010
All paid on time
My baddies:
Charged off car $5,406 07/2007
Charged of CC $989 07/2007
Both will slide off in 2014
Have sent out 5 pay in full for deletes and keep getting turned down
I have now been using Lexington Law for last 2 months without results.
What more can I do to rapidly improve my personal credit?
Is paying off these charge offs going to help improve my score or cause more damage?
I have a very successful business and make over 200 K a year and spend on company debit cards around $800,000 annually, having a good business credit card would help me to continue to build it any other ideas to rapidly improve my score?
Thanks in advance
Odd. Sounds like BofA closed your secured card right about the time your card would graduate. Maybe it's a system error and what actually happened was the normal procedure for unsecuring a secured card. Did you get your deposit back?
To quickly improve your credit profile, you should increase your total available credit by obtaining more, prime cards. Crap 1 likely won't give you any credit limit increase. I think you'd have a good chance at a Discover or Chase card. I mentioned these two creditors since they often pull Equifax. Have you figured out your FICO scores yet?
I did not figure out my FICO yet.
I never got back the deposit and it is still a secured card. When I was supposed to graduate I applied for unsecured and they turned me down..
Discover turned me down in June 2012 and so did Chase same time, any ideas?
