Question about credit repair companies?

Hello- So I've been doing everything I can to clean up my credit, but am still 50 points short of my short term credit goal to obtain a decent mortgage. Problem is, time is ticking away before my home is done (5 months). I've talked to some people regarding credit repair companies (Lexington Law and Ovation Law) and have heard mixed information. I've used Lexington Law and received no results and am willing to try another company. I have done a lot of the letter writing on my own to the credit bureaus, but have had no luck. Anyone have any good advice on this matter? Is it worth it to try Ovation Law or similar or am I wasting money? Thanks!!

You can get plenty accomplished in 5 months.

My suggestion would be list the baddies you are dealing with and the relevant information(DOFD, DOLA, and SOL) and get some advice here on the boards.

I think you'd be better off saving your money to furnish your new house.
