Question as to where I send my GW letter to

Hey guys,

First time posting. I am trying to rebuild my score and I have some old late payments for Best Buy in Nov, Dec of 2006. I was going to send off some GW letters to help remove these. At the time my account was owned by HSBC but now Capital One manages the card. My question is, who should I send the GW letter to? HSBC or Cap One?

Also is email the best form of communication for this or should I mail a letter?

Thank you for any help.

Re: Question as to where I send my GW letter to

Welcome to the forums!

Send them to who currently owns the card.   It can work either way, email or snail mail.

You know those lates will be gone on their own Nov and Dec this year.

Re: Question as to where I send my GW letter to

Thanks,

Yeah I know that these will drop off but I was just trying to speed the process up. I called GECRB and they removed 1 of my 2 late payments. They removed the 60 day one. Do you, or anyone else, know how long it takes to see this change in your score?

Thanks again!
