Question on Collection Agency - Calvary Portfolio vs APEX

Hi everyone

Much love to these forums - today Chase Receivable agreed to delete off a GW letter - on the first attempt!

Now onto a not so nice collection agency:

My DH has a $13k collection on his CR from Calvary Portfolio (BofA was the OC)...the thing is, he has been paying APEX on the same collection for 2 years and it nearly paid off!

We disputed the item with the CRAs - it is showing $13k past due, collection account.

I do not understand the relationship here and no one will answer our questions. Is APEX a different CA than Calvary and if so, why is Calvary on his CR with the 13k whereas APEX is not (with the remaining 2k owed)?

We are done paying this in a couple of months, will it still show the 13k owed past due?
