Re: Question on reaging....

Welcome to the forums!

I'd suggest reading the following:

Common Abbreviations

Credit Scoring 101 - great for knowing what is in your credit score and to see how your score is impacted.

What Steps Do I Take - great for learning the repair process.

and Example letters - PFDs, GWs, DVs, etc.

From what you posted, CapOne is reporting OK. With the exception of one item which I'll conclude with, the CA appears to be reporting OK. I would verify the DOFD and make sure it was never re-aged, but everything appears OK.

I would take issue with the reporting of a credit limit though. It says "installment" (FICO should still see it as a CA), and the presence of a CL really wouldn't factor in, but I'd still take steps to get them to change their reporting. Before doing anything, make sure your SOL expired or you have the $$$ to PIF if you had to.

Re: Question on reaging....

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure of the DOFD on that one but I saw on another report they have it listed as opening in 2009, DOFD in May of 2005. It is in fact past the SOL (6 years in Indiana where this started).

It's one of 3 baddies I have on my report so I payed of one collection yesterday (wouldn't agree to a PFD for a $131 account, but that one was still in the SOL) and I have 1 more medical bill I'm working with on now.

Thanks for the help again! This forum is amazing!
