In my personal experinence yes it most certainly does. A dispute is considered activity. DOLA can legally be changed what can not under any circumstances be changed though is the DOFD. (date of first delinquency)

Ditto to Jeepgirl. Just about anything can change DOLA and can include letters (DV, PFD, GW, etc.), any payment, or even a simple monthly update (e.g. my DOLA changes each month on a pos. unused CC TL as it updates around the statement date with a $0 balance).

DOLA is not a defined term under the FCRA, and as a broad phrase, is kinda meaningless.

There is no CRA reporting code for "DOLA."  Each activity has its own code.

You may get a consumer credit report that lists a "DOLA," but I strongly question the meaning of that interpretation.

One form of last activity is the date of your last payment on an account.  This is stored in your credit file under field code 27.

Another form of last activity, which is your specific example, is a dispute of information in your file.  This is stored in an entirely different field of your credit file, namely field code 20. Yes, this will be updated, whether filed in writing or electronically.

Your DOFD is stored separately under field code 25.

Updating of one does not update the other.

DOLA has almost no relevance to credit reporting.  The old practice of a creditor updating DOLA to extend the time that derogs remain in your CR was eliminated back in 1998, when Congress amended the FCRA by the addition of new section 605(c).

The primary relevance  of "DOLA" is any impact on potential reset of your SOL for legal action, and that varies by state SOL statute.  Some states provide for reset of SOL based on last date of payment.
