Hi all!
Haven't been on in a while, but just wanted to share our progress. I started actively working on my credit in March 2013 and have had some great success. I left my husband's credit alone because I thought his was impossible to fix. But I was wrong. I started sending out DVs, PFDs, and GWs for him (because I was having so much fun fixing mine), and I think he's been more successful than me! Here's our story:
We jointly applied for a mortgage in April 2012, knowing we probably wouldn't get approved.

Our goal is to buy a house before the start of the school year in 2014. With the way things are going, I think we'll make it. I'm doing a lot of research now preparing to apply for a mortgage. It's a lot of work! I don't have a lot of savings now, but just changed my automatic savings deposits to $400/bi-weekly. I also paid off most of my credit cards (again), and am going to SD all but my NFL Visa (gotta represent my Ravens!).
I wouldn't be where I am now without this forum. I was clueless before, so I am sooo glad to find this. Thank you all for your help and advice!
A happy Father's Day to all the daddys!
