Your email correspondence addressed to  – President and CEO,
HSBC Bank USA, N.A, was received in the Customer Relations Office of HSBC
Bank USA, N.A. (“HSBC”).

Based on the information you provided we were unable to locate any open or
closed account records for you. (what if i dispute, because the account is stil reporting a balance) This account is paid in full!

With regard to your request for a good will credit adjustment, as a lender,
HSBC has an obligation to provide accurate information regarding the
performance of our consumer credit accounts to the national repositories
(Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion).  For this reason, unless a proven Bank
error is found, we are unable to extend good will credit profile
adjustments.

If you have any questions, please contact  Customer
Relations Office toll-free at 1-877-472-2005.  Our office is open Monday –

A dispute only applies to the accuracy of the identified information.

In a dispute, you would assert the balance should have been updated to $0.

That is a fact that the creditor is not likely to contest, and will simply correct.

Even if the creditor failed to respond to the CRA, the CRA reinvestigation would extend only to the correction or deletion of the disputed inaccuracy, and their correction would be pro-forma.  They would find the reporting inaccurate, and correct as asserted in your dispute.

They would not delete other information or the entire account as a "penalty" for the inaccuracy of the identified item.

Yea, and i would be ok with them updating the balance at least! My credit union will approved me with chargeoffs they just want them paid, zero balance!

They deleted the account as a courtesy. I sent around 5-7 GW letters to different addresses, and an email on planetfeedback not sure which one worked.
