Tax Question

I cannot figure out how to ask a question with a new thread... my student loans are in default, but I am on month 5 of my rehab. I called the tax offset line and no offset has been reported to my SSN. My question is, am I clear to file my taxes, or will they do some kind of bait and switch type thing once I file? Anyone have experience on this? Thanks

If you are on a rehab plan you should be fine to file, just make sure you keep up on it.

My son is in rehabbing mode for his SLs and he just got his refund, so I don't think you should have a problem.
