Re: Rebuilding Credit - Help

Op I'm right there with you. Capital one has helped me greatly and it has only been 2 months and your scores are much better than mine. You're off to a good start, credit one not so much!

Re: Rebuilding Credit - Help

Very nice progress.  Have you thought of joining Pen Fed or Navy Fed credit union?  They are great at building relationships and also gives you a chance to get rid of that Credit One card

Do you have a list of baddies that you need help with?  Also what's utilization like?

Re: Rebuilding Credit - Help

Well done! Credit One sucks, no CLI's at all. Just picking up an Amex Cash Back with your scores, lets drop Credit One together Smiley Happy

Re: Rebuilding Credit - Help

You will still have 10 yrs of history even when closing, so the only way it would hurt you is temporary Utilization. If that 700CL is important for your score, then hold off until you get that AMEX. Otherwise close that sucker and get rid of that annual fee .
