Rebuilding but confused and new to this.

There are 3 accounts in collection on my CR. 2 of them are medical on is for $198 other is $138. The other is a pay day loan for $178. What should I do with these? Also one of my student loans states that I am current but was previously 120 days late.  Can I do anything about that? Would consolidating my student to loans help because it reduce my number of account?  The only othe negative thing on my report is a public record, is there anything I can do about that?

I have resenly been been approved for cap1 card waiting for that bump.

Fico scores: Eq 657, Tran 620, Ex 607.

Welcome to the forums! You're in luck, medical collections seem to be the easiest to do a PFD (pay for delete) on. Call the collection agencies listed and offer to pay the outstanding amount in exchange to have it deleted from your credit report. If not, pay it anyway and start writing GW (goodwill) letters afterwards asking them to delete it since the debt has been satisfied.

The payday loan is slightly different. Is it valid?

As to the student loans, again, GW letters will be your best bet. Who is the loan servicer? Here's a link to GW explanations and letter examples:

I would try and get them off your report. The medical can be removed fairly easily, but you might have to spent a fair amount of time disputing and writing letters to get the payday to go away. It really depends on how stubborn the OC is.

Student loans? Doubtful that they will remove the lates; if you consolidtate you might have a better chance at removing the lates, but then you will have a lower AAoOA.

What type of public record? Judgements are far easier to remove than a BK is.

I don't know the exact process, but you should be able to get that removed once it is paid. You might have to go into court and file a motion, with or without the judgment holder, but there are some good threads on how to do it on the more ligiation minded credit boards.

To remove a judgment from the CR it has to be vacated. Once you finish paying it I would ask the judgment creditor to file to have it vacated on grounds its been paid if they wont do it you can check your states laws to see if you can file the motion yourself.

For medical debt:

1. Call the OC and ask that they recall the collection in exchange for full payment
2. Send the reporting CA a PFD offer
3. Google the HIPAA Process and contact its creator for help
