Awesome! PenFed seems much more BK friendly now than they were last decade.

Re: Rebuilding success after bk

Congrats!! I'm actually thinking of joining penfed in a few months(currently building relationship with 2 other CU's at the moment). I am 6 months post discharge. have about 9 new credit cards since then(i know its too much) $12401 Total CL. always under 9% utilization every month. FICO TU 652.

If you dont mind me asking. How much was your checking/savings balance when they approved you that new CLI. wanted to see if that plays a part of higher CL

Re: Rebuilding success after bk

Cool thank you for the information. I believe that is the case too if the CU has tiered VIP system like LAFCU - http://www.lafcu.org/vip.html. I havent tried to apply yet since i have too many CC's now. will mostly likely to garden for a year or 2 for inquiries to drop off first. I have about 9-10 inquiris each bureau lol

These are my CC's from top(oldest)-bottom(newest)

US bank harley davidson secured

Capitalone secured

Capitalone platinum - upgraded now to quicksilver

Merrick

Barclay Cashforward

Discover IT

Careone

Amazon store card

Walmart store card

I also had the DCU credit rebuild loan to get a mix on my credit report
