Greetings everyone. I have had alot of success on this board. I came on here a 620 and have a 750 score now. I appreciate everyones input. It has helped me quite a bit.
My fiance got into a car accident awhile back and the guy sued her insurance and now has a "PAID JUDGEMENT"
on all of her Credit Reports. Not good for buying a home.
Anyone have any experience with getting these removed in Illinois? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a pic of her Transunion report and a copy of the judgement release.
Kind Regards
Who was the defendant.... the insurance company or your fiance?
A judgment becomes excluded at 7 years from date of entry if paid.
Paying does not per se remove the judgment.
She may have basis for removal, however, if she is not the party against whom the judgment was awarded......
She was the defendant. I updated the post so you can read the pictures more clearly.
I had a satisfied judgement on my report I disputed it only to have it updated as paid and it was deleted from all 3 bureaus. It was less than 2 yrs old.
What did you use as reason for dispute?
Judgement has been satisfied.
If this was paid by insurance I would add that in as well.
Seems pretty crappy that something like this can affect your credit. :/

+1 Disputed with all 3 to reflect satistifed, and all 3 remove entirely.
Also, you likely have to submit a copy of the satisfied judgement to the court which ordered it.
