I recently requested the removal of an AU from a USAA mastercard (about 10 days ago), and have since pulled a both a EQ and TU power score for the individual and noticed the TL for the card is still listed and still contributing to her score. I called USAA to verify the AU was removed and they confirmed, however the representative told me that AU removals can take up to 6-8 months to be reported to the credit bureaus!
This sounded extremely excessive to me. Has anyone had experience with the turnaround with AU removals? Is there a typical delay? I expected something along the lines of 1 billing cycle for the TL to be removed.
