search the forums for anyone else who has had contact them. Send another GW, I've heard 3 weeks apart is a good timeframe. Scour the internet for any contact names or other addresses to try. Escalate your request - finding specific people to send GW to is something people have had success with. Oh, and 30-60 day lates that old aren't having a huge impact anymore.
@DrK wrote:Has anyone had any success in getting 30 day lates deleted from either the Triad Financial and Plains Commerce Bank TL? I have a few lates with them from 2003 - 2006. I sent one GW and they sent a form letter stating that they were reporting the info as accurate. What should I do next?
Welcome to the forums.
How many lates are there? Older 30 day lates do start losing a little of their sting but I never wanted any on my reports. Do you know exactly when these lates occurred? I ask because monthly delinquencies under an OC account drop at 7 years from their individual date of delinquency. The date of first delinquency (DOFD) has nothing to do with these drop-off dates. They drop from their own individual dates. So look at each prior OC reported monthly derog date, and simply add 7 years.
Any lates from 2003 have already dropped off or will this year depending on that date of delinquency.

Triad: Aug 06, Aug 05, Mar 05, Sept 04, June 04
Plains Commerce: Dec 07, June 07, Sept 06, Sept 05, May 05
Incidentally, Triad was taken over by Santander...so the info shows up on my CR twice. Moreover, Plains Commerce was taken over by Mid America Bank and Trust...so it shows up on my CR twice.
Any additional advice? By the way, do you think that these lates are affecting my credit score?
It's so difficult to know what lates are doing to your score. The longer I read these forums I realize that single 30 day lates lose momentum pretty quickly as far as scoring but I always hated seeing anything negative on my reports. You'll start losing them in June of next year so that's something to look forward to.
As one poster already suggested keep sending those GW's. Try different people in different departments. You might get lucky and find a sympathetic ear.
