This is my first time posting on this board. I am a 30-something woman who just finished her second masters degree. Still looking for work, but want to work on clearing up my credit. I figure I can deal with some things right now (I have savings) and the rest when I get a job. Anyway, back in 2011, NYS filed a tax lien against me. It was paid off in 2012. Is it possible to get it removed from my credit report? I made a lot of financial mistakes in my twenities and I'm trying to clear up some of the damage.
