Removing paid collections

As of the beginning of this year, I've been in credit rebuild mode, my EQ score was 601, now I'm up to 635. The increase appears to have solely come from decreasing my utilization down to 17% from about 48%. I started the year with 7 collections and 2 charge offs on my CR. I'm now down to 1 collection and 1 CO. The charge off was removed as a result of a dispute and the 6 collections have simply changed from unpaid to paid. The 2 baddies that remain are the large ones, 3000 hospital bill collection and university of Phoenix CO for 1952. Anyways, is there anything I can do to get the paid collections removed. They vary between 4 and 6 yrs old.

Re: Removing paid collections

I did ask for PFD's on all of them initially, of course they all said no. I also paid all of the collections in full to CA's to avoid having "settled" reported on the debts.

Re: Removing paid collections

Send good-will (GW) requests to them, requesting that they delete.

It is optional on their part, so you may not get responses.  Perserverence is key..,,,
