Re: Repair Diary: Rebounding like Barkley

Got a nice set of bumps yesterday triggered by my NFCU card reporting:

EQ: 628 (+16)

TU: 619 (+14)

EX: 598 (+9)

I don't think it was the card that gave the points, but rather what triggered the update. Not sure though. Experian is still lagging behind due to a judgement for a utility bill a family member got in my name that I didn't know about. It's paid in full and set to fall off in November, so I am going to leave it alone as all the final derogs should be falling off slightly after that. I am preparing for a final set of dings when my second Cap One card finally reports any day now, but then it's should only be up from there.

Pretty pleased with my score progress and credit limits considering how many dergos I still have. I should be in 700 land by January for sure. Smiley Happy

Re: Repair Diary: Rebounding like Barkley

EQ: 628 (no change)

TU: 636 (+18)

EX: 598 (no change)

Picked up +14 and then +4 on Transunion this week. No idea why but I'll take it! I'm up to 636 on TU! Smiley Very Happy

Experian won't let me be great due to a paid utility company judgement only reporting there. Thankfully it falls off in November and then it should catch up to the others.

Good week review:

5/3 - +14 points on Transunion

5/5 - product changed my Quicksilver One and Platinum Mastercard both to Quicksilvers with no AF.

5/6 - +4 points on Transunion

Finally getting some resolution with the final Navient lates reporting on Transunion. The customer advocate said he will fix it (finally) but I had begun the dispute process and now had to fax a withdrawl to Transunion first. Here's hoping Transunion drops them this week.

I also wrote a GW letter to Capital One for a 6+-year-old CO that was the result of a family member committing identity theft that I never pursued legally (young and dumb). A very nice woman in the EO/consumer reporting dept. called me back and said she would see what she can do. Probably a long shot, but it's my worst baddie by far....so definitely worth a try! I'll update when I hear back.

Re: Repair Diary: Rebounding like Barkley

Update: All of my Navient lates have officially been removed from all 3 CRAs. Now all 3 accounts list as "open, never late." This is the happy end of a 3+ month journey/battle. I know the student loan companies are typically a tough nut to crack, but persistence really pays off. This also means that by 5/1/2016 at the latest, my reports will be completely clean.
