SOL 4 years in Texas

I love this place! It's better than FB let me tell ya! Ok I have another question...So the SOL is 4 years in Texas. This is a dumb question btw but I just need clarification...I know that they can't sue me now...but does this mean that I can get these accounts removed then since I am now under no real obligation to pay? If not, I want to pay...so sicne they are about 6 years old, would I be better off getting some PFD's and if I do will these zombie debts being paid impact my credit?

Re: SOL 4 years in Texas

No they will stay on your credit for 7 years. Whatever you do DO NOT PAY ANYTHING. Paying anything will reset the SOL another 4 years. But I guess if your paying them off it won't matter I would just let them fall off.

yeah I planned on paying them off but if I get a PFD it will help my score right? Even though they are so old or will it make a difference?

If you can get the PFD your score will improve, the biggest bump comes when the final derog leaves your reports.
