Hey everyone need some advice about a private student loan. I took out a private student loan with Key Bank, once I graduated it went into repayment however I never received any correspondence from them about the loan payment statement, phone calls, etc. I know I should have been diligent and taken action to find out what was going on with it, but I didn't. The now shows as charged off/bad dept on my CR. I have no collections on my CR nor have I been contacted by any collection agencies. I would like to do the right thing and settle the account however I have a feeling they would want full payment which isn't in my budget right now. I live in the state of Florida, how long do they legally have the right to collect on the account or sue me? And from date does the SOL start on a student loan?
