You are talking about 2 different things.  There is the amount of time a negative item can stay on your CR.  This is determined by the DoFD and is federal law.  It is 7.5 years from the DoFD.

 

Your state SOL is determined by your state laws and say how long a creditor has to bring suit against you.

 

They are 2 entirely different things.  You can have an account come off your CR but still under state SOL or an account be on your CR but no longer under SOL for your state.

oh okay. so it would be wise to attempt a pfd on all of my collections then correct?
