Has anyone had any success with getting an early exemption from credit bureaus for Sallie Mae Private Loans. My federal loans are already in rehabilitation but since my private loans are scheduled to be past 7 years in Jan 2016 (maybe earlier) I am wondering if they will allow me to dispute them. If so, what would be my reason for disputed to credit bureau.?The private loans are from 2006,2007... but for some reason list as falling off in 2016. If I could get those removed, im sure my score would rise significantly ( 15k of debt). Any help or advice would be grateful.
Hey did you get any luck with this? I'm in the same situation.
Thanks

We cannot sanction the disputing of valid debts it would not be ethical to do so. A request for goodwill deletion is the proper way to get this done if you cannot obtain an early exclusion. http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/GW-letter-Q-amp-A-Examples-and-GW-Success-Stories/td-p/1573680
I would refer to the Higher Education Act it is the controlling document for SLs public backed and private, it has diff timelines than the FCRA. Good luck
