Satisfied Tax Lien Question

If I paid (3) State Tax Liens and recieved the notices that each one is satisfied will this positively impact my credit scores?

Re: Satisfied Tax Lien Question

Score wise no, but from an underwriters review of your credit, it looks better satisfied. Only way tax liens improve your score is if they are gone completely from your credit and depending on what state you live in, it can be a hassle to get rid of them.

Re: Satisfied Tax Lien Question

I reside in Philadelphia and I have been told by a realtor that my score needs to be at 620. I'm about 60 points shy of that. How do I go about trying to have them removed?

Re: Satisfied Tax Lien Question

You would have to contact your state's department of revenue and find out if they will vacate the tax lien. Google it and see if anyone else had success with vacating Pennsylvania tax liens.
