Say what??? GW success with Midland!!

I settled for 40% off with Midland 2 months ago on a debt that was 3 years old. I have GW'd them once a week for 2 months and today I got an Experian update saying it was deleted!!

WOW! I was not expecting that to happen!!

I meant 40% off. I just went onto their website and it gave me an option to PIF, settle for 60% but have marked as PIF and make payment arrangements...Duh! I chose to settle for 60% but have marked PIF.

WOW! So you chose to PIF and they deleted? Very nice! They don't respond to anything I throw at them!

Current Score: TU 675, EX 671, EQ 654 - FAKO scores TU 744, EX 735, EQ 728 - I wish these were my real scores!
Goal Score: 750 across the board. Simulator says 806 if I stay on track for 24 months

No, I settled for 60% to have it marked PIF then GW'd them and they deleted!

Congrats, Sharriel -- would you mind sharing a copy of the GW letter script that you used?

I have a current debt with Midland that I'm trying to get them to respond to a settlement offer (it's a lowball offer, but the SOL has also expired), and can't get any answer back from them. But I also have another debt with them that I DID pay off (I believe at the same 60 cents on the dollar that you did?) a couple of years ago, that of course still shows on my credit report(s). I'd love to see if I can get them to delete that via a GW letter.
