Score Change Challange

Hi,

I am new to the board and found lots of helpful info.  I have had lots of medical issues and collections.
Today is a day I have been waiting for for a long time!  The collection agency has agreed to remove ALL 18 of my collections from years 2007 thru 2011.
In the next few days I will see the changes.  I can't wait for the change and weight lifted.

Anyone want to put some guesses out there on the change this will have?

Re: Score Change Challange

I have an update.  My Equifax score went up 74 points today!  However my TU hasn't changed yet.  Does TU take longer to update?

Re: Score Change Challange

TU IMO, has always taken the longest to update. I hope you arent paying for your report to check. Im sure by now you are well aware of CK that you can check everyday for the updates. I use the free FAKO sites to monitor changes so I know when to buy my real score.

Congrats BTW!!!!

Re: Score Change Challange

Congrats that's awesome! And very fast that it's already reflected on your CR's! I've always found EQ to be the slowest to update, but everyone is different. I was going to mention that you might want to make sure and get something in writing from the CA if you did end up PIF, but it seems like they kept their word and it's already helping (if that is indeed what the huge increase was due to).

Again, congrats! Keep going!

05/31/2013 672 EQ (Fico), 03/08/2012 697 TU (Fico)

Re: Score Change Challange

My TU still hasn't updated.  Not sure why.  If I look at historicals on CreditKarma it looks like I get point jumps on the 1st of the mont usually.  Anyone else see this trend too?

My CC statements cut off on the 20th of every month and dont get reported on TU until the end usually around 27th or 28th.

Re: Score Change Challange

I have more updates on my progress, and could use your knoledge.

GOAL: Buy a home using FHA loan.  I want to do this by January (if possible).

Score help question- Does anyone know if this will help boost my score?  My last late payment (auto) goes from less then a year ago to over a year ago soon.

Last Update:

TU from 640  to  656  (up 76 in 2 months)

EX from 560  to  634 (up 76 in 2 months)

EQ FAKO from 640 to 651 (up 81 in 2 months)

I expect I can eek out a few more points - my CC utilization is over 20% but will drop to 10% in the coming days.  Maybe another 5-10?

My starting scores 6/20/12 were:

FICO - EX558 - TU 580

EQ FAKO 570

- 6/2012 - FICOs EX 550 TU 580
- Lots of work.....
- 9/20/12 - FICO EX 646 TU 692
- Dec 12 - Home purchase - Dec 14 Auto Purchase
- 6/10/13 - FICO EX 672 TU 690
- 1/22/15 FICO EQ 697 TU 732
