No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I know the basics of them, just a few quick questions...
Should I only get 1? I have a BOA bank account, so I was just going to get one through them. Should I stick with the one, or get another from somewhere else?
Which do you recommend?
Just depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Are you rebuilding to gain a loan in the near future, down the road?
Just getting your credit up to par for the future, shall you need it?
Do you have any other revolving debt? Any store cards?
My initial goal is to improve my credit score. It is 550 right now, and all from past-due bills, things like that. I have never had a regular credit card. I do have a target store card that has been paid off in full and on time for 3 months now, and my other bills are now on time. Just trying to establish good credit.
If all your TL are new, I would add one now instead of a year from now so that it doesn't affect your average age of accounts as much.
It is up to you whether to add one or not. You have a store card and 1 secured already.
IMO, I would work on removing negatives and let your good TL age.
