Hello everyone I've got a question. I have been using credit karma to monitor my credit file. As I'm aware that the score they provide is for entertainment only, Im under the impression that it is reliable for tracking my Transunion credit report. So I have two secured credit cards that are three months old. In three more months I anticipate obtaining my real Fico scores. I use one of my secured credit cards for practically all of my spending. It has the highest limit so it's easier to manage my utilization which I have always paid down before the statement and have always had report between one and nine percent. Now my other secured credit card which has a smaller 500 dollar limit which is with SDFCU I decided to pay it down to zero and let it report a zero balance this statement. The thing is that according to Credit Karma it did not report this period. Last month it reported on the 20th and it still shows my last statement as May 20th. Like I figured I did get my statement from them on the 20th with a zero balance and zero payment due. I'm wondering if they just won't report to the credit bureaus because it has a zero balance this month. Is that normal? From what I've gathered from this site it's best for many people's scores to have one card report between one and nine percent and all other cards report at zero balance. But if they aren't reporting my balance because it's zero I'm not sure what to make of the theory.
Haha I might just be jumping the gun. Maybe Credit Karma will update or SDFCU will report soon. I'm just wondering if I'm missing a piece to the puzzle here. Any thoughts and insight is appreciated.
