Secured discover going to unsecured!

Got this nice little email this morning! Was hoping to add to security deposit next week just to increase the limit because of the cash back on it (I pay it off every month) . Has anyone had this? And do you think they will do a CLI? Congratulations! Thank you for being a great customer

Good news Jen!

Because you've shown responsible account management, you're getting your security deposit back. You should receive the check in the mail in 5-7 business days.

Re: Secured discover going to unsecured!

I got a Discover It secured card, as well as a Capital One platinum secured card, in March of 2016. The Discover didn't convert yet (I put a $200 deposit down when I opened up the account), but the Capital One card auto CLI to $500 on 1/5/2017 ($49 deposit when I opened the account, $200 opening balance). I should be converted within the next month or two, from what I've seen in these forums. Nevertheless, congrats!! That's great news!
