Secured vs unsecured for credit purposes, whats better?

what’s better, secured vs unsecured for building credit? I signed up for 2 loans at my credit union. One I pay them 500 over 6 months, and at the end they give me 500 back minus a few bucks for interest. the other is a normal loan where they gave me 500 and i pay that back over 10 months, so overall im only losing like 5-10 dollars in interest over 10 months. the thing is that one shows up as a secured loan, the other as an unsecured loan in my credit score. Is one better then the other?
