Sending goodwill to company that has been out of business for about a year.

I'm trying to get late payments removed from a tradeline from a business that's been closed for about a year. I sent them the letters and I get a reply with a company letterhead stating that federal law states that they cannot remove any negative marks...ect...

Should I dispute and see what happens?

I'm trying to get two 60 day lates from 2008, I had lost my job during that time.

Well, if you are getting response on company letterhead that means someone is reading your letters.. and therefor, likely will valiate the late payments in the same fashio if you dispute through the CRA
