OC Dofd Feb 2007. CO first report date Aug 2011. Settled with CO 2days ago. Will credit score do down? If so, how much? Trying to rebuild credit to buy a house in Feb 2013.

Re: Settled.

Hopefully it won't go down, maybe go up a bit.  Funny how these work sometimes.  You'd have to have that paid off for your mortgage anyway.  Now you need to GW that paid account!

Starting Score: 504
July 2013 score:
EQ FICO 819, TU08 778, EX "806 lender pull 07/26/2013

Current scores after adding $81K in CLs and 2 new cars since July 2013

Re: Settled.

It shouldn't go down but you will have a HUGE black mark on your CR

Re: Settled.

The CO is being factored into you utilization and killing your score. While it will help you score, like others have said, there will be a black mark.

Scores: about 700 across the board
Total CL: $275k
