Settlement for Car

I bought a car for 9,000 and my payment were 291 in 2004, well in 2007 I fell behind with 1,900 owed. I recently checked my credit report and they are hitting my report every month with lates, which are killing my score. I have told them to pick this car up serveral times and they will not do it. Should I offer them a settlement?

Are you still making payments?

If you never caught up they can say you are late every month.

You can always take the car to them.  It will still be a repo on your report.
