Hello guys new to the forum . Had no idea this even existed! Finally got serious about my credit. And just trying to find a good way to start. I have a collections from comcast from feb 2010. I have read the posts here and still am not sure. Is it best to pay it off and ride it out? Where there is no pfd, or like one poster said "let sleeping dogs lay." I know there are no really quick fixes. But i am thinking for the long term. Any advice would be more than helpful! Thanks in advance!!
Feb 2010 is very recent. I would write a PFD if your finances allow for it. From other posters on here I have learned that paying off a collection does nothing for your score. Only a removal is worth accepting.
You have leverage, since they want your money.
Welcome to the forums, Hollywoodheys!
Since your questions are about "fixing" your credit, I'm going to move this thread to the Rebuilding Your Credit forum. Good luck!!
